Creating My Gallery Wall
June 29, 2020
I'd been planning for so long to create my own wall collage as I'm very into prints and the tall white wall right next to my home office desk seemed so empty and almost sad. I was lucky enough to partner up with one of my favorite online wall art shop Posterlounge and made it happen. Let me share with you my experience and the final look of my home's prettiest wall.
First things first, I had to to choose the perfect spot for the prints. Which in my case was decided already few months ago, when I had to set up my home office due to the lockdown period and realized something is missing. I used to have some art prints that I could attach on the wall randomly, but I never considered it as a well-thought, long lasting art gallery that inspires and motivates me while I'm working. I needed something more aesthetic and better quality.
I especially loved products of the category Sayings & Quotes, Botany, Scandinavian and Landscapes but trust me there's so much more. Mostly you can choose sizes of posters from 13 cm up to 160 cm with varieties of frames (Artbox, Shutter, Classic or no frame). Posterlounge offers wall stickers, aluminium and foam board prints and my favorite: prints on wood. I ordered two freshly printed wood pictures which brought a unique and relaxing natural atmosphere into my space. Simply love it.
Living in a rented apartment sounds like a no-go to any wall collage with it's awkward drilled holes. But guess what? Thanks to the new technology of double-sided ultra strong tapes (I used the tape of brand Tesa) I did not create a single whole on my wall. I can hang up and remove prints whenever I feel like without causing any permanent damage on the wall. Truly life changing!
