  1. Bright Room – let the light in and catch it

After all those dark months, we need the sun more then ever and craving for as much light as we can possibly have. If you live in a place full of windows, you’re the lucky one. Just ensure the glasses are clean and hang some lighter weight curtains to make your place glow.

Your address is not the crystal palace? That’s okay too. We know for a fact that white painted walls, ceilings and floors with light colored furniture reflect the most light. So don’t be shy and make it white! :D No wonder why white interior is so common to be used in Scandinavian style, as this trick is a very effective one to get as much light in to your home as possible. If you’re not an all-white type of person, use light pastel colors instead to create similar outcome.

Another secret of a bright home is to make it airy, keep it simple, tidy and clean. Minimalism style prevents your room to become a storage unit that absorbs the precious light, so follow the mindset of “living with less” and get rid of everything unnecessary ( give items you haven’t used to friends or donate them to charities ). When you’ve cleared enough space it’s time for organizing and spring-clean your home to boost the light level and your mental health.

Mirrors are our best friends when it comes to light management. Place a mirror opposite and some next to your window to reflect and maximize the natural light. Round and mid-century mirrors are the trendiest styles of this year.

  1. Planterior – create your indoor jungle

By now, not only we miss the sun light so much but the fresh, lively greenery around us. No doubt, green is definitely the color of spring season. You’re a crazy plant lover and capable to take care of a plant family? Propagate your favorite house plants or get some from the local nursery to green the room and make your own urban jungle. Don’t forget to repot the old ones and gently remove the dust from all the leaves.

If you’re a bit lazier type and real plants are not your thing, you can still create the natural green vibes by hanging plant prints on the wall or use some house plant decor item.

  1. Flowers and flower printed everything

Nothing makes your home more ready for spring season than a bouquet of fresh flowers. Set your table using mugs and plates with floral motif, hang some spring colored piece of art on the wall, plus throw some flower printed pillow to your couch and floor to get the blooming seasonal vibe.

  1. Biotic materials - to feel the nature

Go natural and live a mindful life. This is the motto of a modern human being. Surround yourself with natural materials ( wood, natural fiber ) that creates a cozy, simple home where you can calm down and feel closer to the wild.
